A half day trip from Moab, the Anticline Overlook gives you a wonderful panoramas including the Kane Creek Anticline It’s sited on a narrow promontory and from there you may see the Colorado River, Kane Canyon, Dead Horse Point, Hurrah Pass. the vivid solar evaporation ponds on Potash Road, and the La Sal Mountains. Great value from a single spot, and the access road (paved and gravel) is good.
To get there 32 miles south of Moab on HIghway 191. and turn right (west) on Canyon Rims Road. After 8 miles turn right on a gravelled road signed "Anticline Overlook". Continue 9 miles to the parking area.
Despite the thoughtful additions of picnic tables and a pit toilet you may have the place to yourself. Enjoy.
