Bryce Canyon

One of Utah's 'Mighty Five', Bryce is a truly surreal landscape – if you can ignore the tourist hordes.

Crowds

Some call it a forest of stone. Cooler in summer due to its high elevation, there are a wealth of opportunities here, from roadside viewpoints to trails that delve deep into this geological quirk. My advice: get there early! If the crowds are too much, head off for Cedar Breaks National Monument.
