Natural Bridges NM: Sipapu Bridge to Kachina Bridge loop

Because the access road to the Monument is paved this is another good hike after rain has affected the dirt roads. With stunning scenery, huge bridges, rock art and Anasazi ruins, this is one of the best hikes in the area. The good trail has ladders and railings to help you in the worst parts. Access to the some of the ruins involves some height exposure.

The Bear’s Ears

few minutes north of UT95 near Natural Bridges NM lies one of the area’s most prominent landmarks. The east gravel road actually travels between the two forested ‘ears’. Check out the panorama of the canyons of Cedar Mesa far below you.

Hammond Canyon

Due to its high elevation, this is a great canyon for summer hiking. The trail into the canyon loses 2000 feet in elevation so remember you have to hike back up. Overall an easy trail but long in a magical, forested landscape with soaring pinnacles and a good Anasazi site to visit.
